How can we help?
Step-by-step answers for the RYMVI app on iPhone and Android. Can’t find it? Contact support.
Getting started
Do I need an account?
No. You can start as a guest and save, organise and search on your phone straight away. To use AI features, Cloud Sync or a paid plan, sign in with an email address (and verify it) or with Google. Creating a new account from a guest keeps what you saved. Signing in to an account that already exists switches to that account instead — the guest’s memories aren’t moved into it, and RYMVI warns you before you continue.
How do I save my first memory?
Tap + to write a note, paste a link, take or choose a photo or video, or attach a file. Or share something into RYMVI from another app — see Sharing into RYMVI.
How do I turn AI features on or off?
RYMVI asks before any AI feature runs. To change your choice later: Settings → Intelligence → AI features. When it’s off, nothing is sent for AI analysis.
How do I organise memories into my own categories?
Open a memory and choose its categories, or create a new category from the library. A memory can be in several categories. RYMVI also files every memory by type (Posts, Videos, Photos and so on) automatically.
Sharing into RYMVI
How do I share something into RYMVI?
- In the other app, tap its Share button.
- Choose RYMVI. On iPhone, if you don’t see it, scroll the app row and tap More, then add RYMVI.
- RYMVI saves it and opens the new memory.
What can I share?
Links (social posts, videos, web pages), text, photos, videos and documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, TXT, RTF). Several photos shared together become one memory, up to ten photos.
Something I shared didn’t appear.
If an item can’t be saved — for example an unsupported file type, or more than ten photos at once — RYMVI tells you which item and why. Open RYMVI once after sharing so it can finish saving. If something still seems missing, contact support.
Why does a saved social post say “Link previews are off”?
Fetching a post’s title, caption and preview image is a separate choice. Tap Turn on on the memory, or go to Settings → Privacy → Link previews. With previews off, RYMVI keeps the link but doesn’t fetch or analyse it.
AI & credits
What uses credits?
Only AI actions: analysing a memory, analysing a video, and Ask About Memory. Saving, organising, searching by words, backups and syncing never use credits. See the cost table.
Where can I see my credits?
Settings → Account → Plan shows your monthly credits left, when they reset, and any purchased credits.
When do my monthly credits reset?
On the same day each month as your plan started — not on the 1st. Unused monthly credits don’t carry over. Purchased credits never expire and are used after your monthly ones.
Will I be charged if an analysis fails?
No. If an analysis or answer fails, the credits are returned. If a video’s result couldn’t be delivered to your phone, the credits are returned once our server confirms it.
Plans & subscriptions
Can I buy a plan now?
Not yet — purchasing isn’t available in the app yet. Pricing shows the plans for reference.
How will billing and cancelling work?
Paid plans will be auto-renewing subscriptions billed by the App Store or Google Play. You’ll manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings (or from Settings → Account → Plan → Manage Subscription); a cancelled plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Refunds are handled by the store under its own process.
Can I see my plan and credits on the web?
Yes. Sign in at rymvi.com/account with the same account you use in the app to see your plan, AI credits and RYMVI Cloud storage, and to get to the right place to manage a subscription. Your memories aren’t shown on the website.
I’ve lost my phone. What should I do?
Sign in at rymvi.com/account and choose Sign out of all devices, then reset your password if you think someone knows it. Signing out doesn’t remove memories stored on the phone — use Find My (iPhone) or Find My Device (Android) to erase it.
Does deleting the app or my account cancel my subscription?
No. Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play — cancel there first.
Cloud Sync
What does Cloud Sync do?
It keeps your library — memories, categories, and your photos, videos and files — in step between your phones and lets you restore it on a new one. It needs a plan with RYMVI Cloud storage and is being introduced gradually, so it may not be available to you yet.
How do I turn it on?
Settings → Account → Cloud Sync → Enable Cloud Sync, then follow the steps. You’ll see your plan’s storage allowance before you agree.
It says some changes haven’t synced.
Check your connection and tap Sync Now. Files larger than 2 GB aren’t backed up. If the message stays, contact support with the exact wording.
Offline use
What works without a connection?
Saving anything, viewing and playing what’s on your phone, organising, editing, searching by words and exporting a backup.
What happens to things I saved offline?
They’re saved on your phone straight away. When you’re back online and open RYMVI, it analyses them (if AI is on) and syncs them (if Cloud Sync is on).
Encryption
Is my library encrypted?
On your phone, yes — RYMVI encrypts your library with a key kept on the device. In the cloud you can add end-to-end encryption. How it works.
How do I turn on end-to-end encryption?
- Settings → Account → Cloud Sync → End-to-end encryption.
- Read the warning and write down your 24-word recovery phrase on paper. Don’t screenshot it or store it in email or chat.
- Type the phrase back to confirm, and turn it on.
How do I add a new phone to an encrypted library?
- On the new phone, sign in to the same RYMVI account.
- Open End-to-end encryption and tap Show link code.
- On your existing phone, open End-to-end encryption → Link a new device, enter the code and tap Approve device.
- Go back to RYMVI on the new phone — it finishes linking and starts syncing.
A code works once and expires after 15 minutes. Only approve a phone you’re setting up yourself.
Recovery
I forgot my password.
Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen to get a reset email. If you signed in with Google, sign in with Google again.
I lost my phone. How do I get my library back?
On your new phone, sign in to your account. If your cloud library is end-to-end encrypted, also enter your recovery phrase (End-to-end encryption → Recover with your recovery phrase) or link the new phone from another phone that has your key. Signing in alone doesn’t unlock an encrypted library.
I lost my recovery phrase.
If you still have a phone that holds your key, your library is fine — link any new phone from it. If you’ve lost the phrase and every phone with the key, the encrypted cloud library can’t be decrypted by anyone, including RYMVI. Support can help with your account, but never asks for your recovery phrase and can’t recover encrypted content.
Videos & social links
Why didn’t RYMVI analyse what’s said in an Instagram or TikTok video?
Social platforms generally don’t let other apps download the video itself. For a saved social link RYMVI analyses what the platform makes public — the caption or title and the preview image — and the memory says when only a preview was used.
How can I get the whole video analysed?
If you have the video on your phone, attach it to the saved post: open the memory and choose to attach the real video. RYMVI then analyses the actual clip — what’s shown and said — after showing you the price.
What are the video limits?
Videos up to 3 minutes and 200 MB can be analysed, for 16–30 credits depending on length. Longer videos can still be saved and played, but not analysed.
Why are my social videos under Posts, not Videos?
Everything saved from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and X is filed under Posts, whether it’s a photo or a video. Videos is for videos from your own camera roll.
Export & import
How do I back up my library?
Settings → Data → Full Backup exports everything in one step; Export lets you choose memories. You get a .rymvi file with your memories, categories and the photos, videos and files they need. Save it somewhere safe — it isn’t end-to-end encrypted by RYMVI once it’s outside the app.
How do I restore from a backup?
Settings → Data → Import Library and choose the .rymvi file. Memories you already have aren’t duplicated.
How do I get back something I deleted?
Settings → Data → Recently Deleted keeps deleted memories for 30 days.
Deleting your account
How do I delete my account?
- If you have a paid plan, cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play account.
- In RYMVI: Settings → Account → Manage Account → Delete account.
- Confirm, and sign in again when asked to prove it’s you.
This removes your RYMVI Cloud data and account records from our servers. Our storage provider can keep deleted files recoverable for up to 7 days. Store purchase records are kept so a purchase can’t be credited twice. Memories on your phone stay until you delete the app, and backups you exported stay wherever you saved them.
You can also delete your account on the web at rymvi.com/account. Can’t open the app? See requesting deletion by email.
Troubleshooting
A memory isn’t being analysed.
Check that AI features are on (Settings → Intelligence), you’re signed in with a verified email, you have credits left (Settings → Account → Plan) and you’re online. For social links, check link previews are on.
My new phone says it needs my key.
Your library is end-to-end encrypted. Link the phone from another phone, or enter your recovery phrase — see Encryption.
Search by meaning isn’t finding things.
It needs AI features on and a connection, and works on memories that have been analysed. Searching by words always works offline.
Still stuck?
Report a bug or contact support. Never send your password, recovery phrase or any key — we will never ask for them.
